The toxicity of chocolate for dogs is based on the fact that cocoa contains theobromine, a natural stimulant that does not create problems, but that our dog partner could be fatal: this component attacks its nervous system and the heart, causing tremors, muscle spasms, seizures, cardiac arrhythmias, nerve breakdowns, high blood pressure, diarrhea and vomiting, which can lead to Dehydration of our dog and lead to death. And you have to keep in mind that most sweets contain black chocolate, which is the one that contains the most theobromine.
We know well that our friends always want to peck our food, so it is essential to pay close attention without forgetting the chocolate that may be within our home, especially if their dogs are experts in getting on all parts of the house.
