Tips and tricks to bathe our dog at home

There are dogs that enjoy the bathroom, but there are others who just see a movement that includes water and shampoo get nervous, scared and hide. What can you do to avoid this:- Before bathing your dog, make caresses and massages throughout his body, talk to him looking into his eyes and telling him that you will bathe him, that he must be calm and relaxed. If it is worried, wait a little for it to calm down and then address it in a serene way.
- Keep in mind that bathe a dog, however small, requires time and dedication, because doing so quickly and run over only will get the animal to stress and flee every time you want to bathe it.
- Wear comfortable clothes and have the products and accessories that you are going to wear, for which we recommend: a cube with water, a jar to throw the water or, failing that, a moderate pressure hose; Also a soft sponge, a special shampoo for its condition, race, fur, etc., a clean towel, some cotton to protect their ears and, if you prefer, a hair dryer.

- You must use water at a temperature between temperate and warm and, if you are going to use a hose, try not to have much pressure so that it does not splash your face or between water in your ears or scares the impact of water on your body.
- When you start bathing your dog, once you have covered your ears with cotton dressings, try to do it from the bottom up, that is, first wet your legs and then climb the limbs until you wet the back and the rest of your body. The face never wash, neither with hose nor with the jug with which you bathe it.
- The dog's face should be cleaned with a soft and humid towel.
- Distribute the shampoo along the spine and then with your hands extend the product producing sufficient foam. These massages will help you detect some inflammation or irritation of the skin, you can even discover if you have flags or ticks in your body.
- The massage must be subtle and thus you will prevent that, in case you have fleas, they walk towards the dry areas, such as ears and face.
- Remember that You must bathe it from the neck to the tail. Do not wet the face or ears and, when the barriga area and the cushions of the legs, do it with a soft sponge, because these areas are very sensitive and you can cause damage if you use your nails to rub them.
- Once well rubbed, remove the product with plenty of water by avoiding hose pressure. Try to do it subtly repeating movements and massages throughout the body, and on the legs one by one. With patience, do not stop rubbing it or throw water until it comes out completely clean.

Be patient and keep calm
At the end, cover it immediately with a clean and dry towel. If there is much wet time exposed to the environment, it can be cold, and if it is wet you can take a urine infection. Dogs tend to shake when they feel wet, so get away a little because they will surely splash you. If you prefer, use a hair dryer at low temperature, and so Drying will be more efficient and uniform. If you dry it with towel, do not rub it in a disorderly or circular way, do it in the direction of hair growth to prevent the fur into. Give soft touchs on the towel, open it and shelter it well, especially if it is a puppy. Finish drying it well with the hair dryer.
